Dan LenardGreetings fellow WoVO Members!

It’s a new year, with new challenges and opportunities!

At World-voices.org, we are looking to help you make the most of your VO business with information, great community, advocacy and most importantly, helping you find work!  Yeah, we do that. We aren’t here to sell you stuff!  In the 12 years since our inception, we have been very protective of our membership roster! A lot of VO service providers want our list to sell their wares. Some good, some not so good. No matter who they are, they aren’t going to be able to spam you from our roster!

Coming in February, WoVO is presenting two important webinars. One isn’t for you though. It’s for the people that hire us! On February 7th, Dave Courvoisier and I will be talking with Janet Walton from SunSpots studios about how to look for and hire Professional voice talent. She’s a voice casting pro! We’ll be showing them our amazing searchable directory of WoVO Professional talent, VoiceOver.biz. We are increasing our exposure to Casting Directors, video producers and any other entities that need voice talent. It’s a big job but we’re doing it for YOU!

Secondly,  What challenges and opportunities are there with AI encroaching on our vocal turf? Our distinguished WoVO Corporate Counsel, the one and only Rob Sciglimpaglia, will be doing a webinar on how to protect yourself from AI and unauthorized use of your voice on February 22 at 12 noon ET! Rob is the author of the Bible of VO legal issues, “VO Legal!” No one knows more about this subject than Rob! Don’t miss it!

If there’s a webinar subject you’d like us to present, contact us at eb@world-voices.org.

Also don’t forget to save the weekend of October 18th for WoVOCON VIII at the Royal Sonesta River North in Downtown Chicago!  WoVOCON Chairman, George Washington III promises a great VO community event with fun sessions, a group outing and of course lots of Members Helping Members activities! If you loved WoVOCON VII, you’ll love WoVOCON VIII even more!

We need content and articles for voiceover.biz‘s blog.  If you want to write something about your VO career. let loose and send it to info@world-voices.org.

I am so excited with all we’re doing to help you be successful with your VO Career!

See you February
